SASSA Payment Dates For June 2023

It has been announced that SASSA grant payments will be made in june 2023. You can expect your payment on these dates if you receive one of these grants, 

  • Older Person Grant: 2nd June 2023
  • Disability Grants: 3rd June 2023
  • Children’s Grants: 6th June 2023

The payment will be made on the following business day if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday. The amount of some grants, like the Disability Grant and the Old Age Grant, was recently increased, and only those who qualify will receive them each month. As of October 2022, some social grants were raised, though SASSA has yet to announce if there will be an increase this year. Disability Grants have been raised from R1,890 to R1,990, and War Veterans Grants have been raised from R1,890 to R1,990. An R1,890 increase in care dependency was recorded to a R1,990 increase. R1,990 has been added to the Old Age Grant. From R2,000 in April 2022 to R2,010 in October 2022, the grant for people over 75 increased by 5.2%. 

As well as the Foster Care Grant, Child Support, and Grant in Aid, the Foster Care Grant was increased from R1,050 to R1,070.

What Is the SASSA Child Grant This Month?

Child Support Grants are valued at R720 per child per month as of October 2022. This includes R480 per child per month for the basic Child Support Grant and R240 for the top-up Child Support Grant. During April and October of each year, the grant value changes every six months. From June 1, 2022, relatives and primary caretakers will be able to provide an orphan with basic necessities with the top-up CSG of R240.

The Child Support Grant is available to primary caretakers for up to six children who are not their biological or legal children.

Will SASSA Pay For April And May 2023?

Yes. SRD grants for April and May will continue to be paid by the South African government as part of COVID-19. These grants are essential for those whose basic needs are met by them.
